The role

  • Contributing to product life cycle assessments to EN 15804 and ISO 14040/44, from data collection to evaluation.
  • Inventory analysis and modelling in openLCA on the ecoinvent data basis, supported by our LCA team.
  • Preparing background reports and supporting verification through IBU or comparable programmes.
  • Contributing to EPD and DPP projects for multi-layer construction products, including research on datasets, standards and product category rules.
  • Contributing to internal methodology components such as templates and checklists.
  • Using our ecoverity LCA automation in project work, giving feedback on it and helping to develop it further.

Signs you fit in with us

  • Currently studying environmental engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, materials science or a comparable field.
  • First contact with LCA software such as openLCA or GaBi helps, but is not required. You bring an interest in the underlying standards EN 15804 and ISO 14040/44.
  • Confident communication in German and English.
  • You think outside the box and consider how things can be done better, more efficiently and in a more structured way.
  • Real motivation to work in a young, fast-moving start-up that is growing quickly but still at the beginning: you want to develop yourself, pull together with the team and think for yourself.
  • High attention to detail: you work cleanly, neatly and accurately, especially with data.
  • A doer’s mentality: you talk little and simply get things done.

What we offer

  • High responsibility from day one, topics of your own and a steep learning curve. Mentoring from our mentors and partners, plus onboarding through a range of training material.
  • We execute fast, test with real customers and build and implement right away instead of planning for long. That gives you the chance to put your own ideas, views and thoughts into practice quickly, without going through many approval loops.
  • What you build is used by manufacturers in their daily work. Life cycle assessments, EPDs and tools that make mid-sized companies more sustainable, not just a report.
  • A young, fast-moving team with shared offsites and coworking events to which we always invite the whole team. Freedom, ownership and initiative matter a lot to us: you develop yourself, decide freely, and your own ideas and suggestions are always taken seriously and usually implemented by you. At ecoverity you can realise your own potential. Hybrid between Aachen, Zurich and Munich, and remote.
  • Above-average pay of €1,000 to €2,000 gross per month, depending on your previous professional experience and objective criteria.
  • A realistic path into a later working student role or permanent position.
